The Tour de Madison is pleased to announce that local band, Ransom Harmony will entertain cyclists at our traditional Post-ride party and BBQ at Graves Mountain Lodge. The band describes itself this way: “Hailing from the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of central Virginia, we are a five-piece string band that plays bluegrass, country, gospel, and some pop with a bluegrass flare! We consist of a guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, bass, and, of course, five-part harmonies. We thoroughly enjoy playing and singing together and believe that our enthusiasm is evident at our shows.”
Ransom Harmony’s performance at the 2018 Tour de Madison continues our tradition of
featuring up-and- coming bands with a connection to Madison County and the surrounding area. The Ransom Harmony appearance reflects a partnership between the Tour de Madison and Bald Top Brewery in Madison. After the ride, if you want to hear more of the band, AND, enjoy some incredible local beer from an award winning micro-brewery, head on over to Bald Top on Thrift Road a mile west of the town of Madison. Ransom Harmony will be performing at Bald Top in the evening. Thanks to Dave Fulton and crew at Bald Top for this unique partnership that enables us to bring you the joyful sounds of Ransom Harmony.
